The application form can be downloaded from the College website - online URL address is www.stevenscollege.net or the College will send it to the students by post on request. Completed forms should be application forms should be sent by land mail or submitted by hand.

For the overseas Students

The completed application form should be accompanied by:

  • Three passport size photographs of the student
  • Certified copies of relevant educational certificates
  • Passport copies (national and personal detail)
  • Registration fee of £100.00 (non-refundable)

On verification of the documents the college will issue the student with provisional registration letter.

Then only on receipt of minimum of £2000.00 (or the course fee if lower) the college will issue the full enrolment letter, which is required to apply for the visa.

All the payments should be made in the form of Bank Draft in favour of 'Stevens College'

For the Students who are already in UK

The completed application form should be accompanied by:

  • Three passport size photographs of the student
  • Certified copies of relevant educational certificates
  • A copy of the student's Passport & Valid Visa
  • A letter from the previous college

The college will verify the submitted documents.

All the payments should be made in cash or by a crossed cheque or a Bank draft drawn in favour of 'Stevens College'.

REFUND OF TUITION FEES-POLICIES

Stevens College has a policy to refund the tuition fee in full to the students in the following circumstances.

  • If the admission is rejected by the Stvens College Admission office or

  • If the visa application is rejected by the British High Commission

(This is applicable for the overseas students).

Conditions for refund for the overseas students:

  • Students should return all the letters issued by the college in original and

  • Student should submit the visa refusal letter (original copy) which will be returned to the student along with the refund money.

Note: No amount will be refunded

  • Once the student is in receipt of UK visa or an entry permit.

  • Once the course has commenced.

 

 

 

 

For students wishing to obtain Entry Clearance before coming to UK, the following guidelines have been drawn up after consultation with Embassy and High Commission officials:

Visit the British Embassy/High Commission in person or any appointed body, if there is any in their behalf, and with the following documents:

  • Letter of Enrolment from the College, which states that the College has received tuition fees and a place, is reserved on the course.

  • Any other relevant documents sent by the College. (e.g. Accommodation etc.)

  • Passport.

  • Documents showing the availability of funds in GBP to cover the cost of living in the UK.

  • Original copies of relevant academic certificates already obtained.

  • Documentation to demonstrate the intention to leave the UK after completion of studies.

This information is given for general guidance and should be checked locally. Stevens College will not take any responsibility for any change in rules and regulation by concerned.

 

The tuition fee for the course for which a student has been accepted is stated in the enclosed Letter of Acceptance. he/she may remit the tuition fee by one of the following methods:

  • Banker's draft payable to "Stevens College" and posted to the College using a reliable postal or courier service.

  • Direct transfer to the College bank account, the details of which are as follows:

Bankers:

On remittance being made by him/her, the College should promptly be informed by returning the completed "Fee Remittance Form" enclosed with the acceptance letter.

Only payments made directly to the college will be recognised. Visa letters will only be issued when payment has been cleared by the bank. Remittance charges are the student’s responsibility.

Note: The availability of some courses may be subject to relevant accreditation.

What is the minimum age?

 

Students must be 18+ years of age.

 

When can I enrol for my course?

You can enrol in your course one week in advance if there is a class available. We advise you to make your bookings well in advance. You also need more time if you need to apply for a visa.

How long does it take to get acceptance letter?

Once we received your application form with the payment we will prepare your Certificate of enrolment and other requested letters in a couple of days

How can I pay?

 

You can pay by cash (in person), cheque, Bank Draft or by bank transfer.

Can I get a reund, if I cancel my course?

We offer an easy payment plan for our students enrolled for at least one year course.

Do you offer part-time or evening courses?

 

No, we do not offer part-time courses.

How long can I study for?

 

This depends on the course that you would like to study. Our counselling team will advise you regarding the course and the course duration.

How many hours do I have to study per week?

 

Minimum 18 hours for full-time courses. You can also do an intensive course and study more than 18 hours per week.

How many weeks of holiday I am entitled for?

Maximum authorised holidays are as follows:

  • 12-23 weeks study period: 2 weeks
  • 24-35 weeks study period: 4 weeks
  • 1 year study period : 6 weeks
Can Stevens College help me to find a job?

 

We are regularly notified by agencies looking for part time employees and these are posted on the welfare notice board. In addition our Student Support Advisor can give advice about agencies, newspapers and magazines where suitable jobs are advertised.

Do I need to get National Insurance Number?

 

Yes. We strongly recommend that you seek employment only with those employers who work within the National Insurance framework. This will also give you sickness and holiday rights.

I do not live in UK. From where can I get visa?

 

You must apply to the British embassy in your country with a college acceptance letter and with evidence that you can support yourself, either by: -• Acceptance Letter from College• Arranging accommodation including food for your stay • Showing that you have enough money to support yourself with a bank statement.

Can Stevens College help me to extenf my visa?

 

Stevens College is not entitled to provide legal Advise for extending your visa. We are able to provide Solicitors and OISC office contact details. For further guidance and information please contact Director of Studies.
